Currently, there are many questions about H1N1 Influenza A, which has thus far been responsible for deaths in Mexico and a milder version that has spread to the United States and other countries world-wide. The following links to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO), the LA County Department of Public Health, and the House Homeland Security Committee can provide the most current information and recommendations.
I applaud the federal government's response, which has been measured and focused on educating and preparing the public.
The CDC has called for common sense hygiene practices to slow down the potential spread of the H1N1 Influenza A, including frequent hand washing, covering coughs and sneezes and staying home if you or your child feels ill.
As more information becomes available, this website will be updated.
