It's about quitting time on the east coast for Miriam Burt, so I'm writing
to thank you all for a thoughtful and very interesting discussion this week.
Our conversations spanned many topics and tapped into a wide range of
sensibilities and experiences related to English language learners who are
so often neglected or underestimated.  I hope you feel that it was enriching
and useful.  Perhaps you made new contacts and gathered new ideas that will
