The appropriations process is one of Congress' most contentious duties each year, allocating taxpayer funding to agencies, departments, and programs of the entire federal government. With limited financial resources for an ever-increasing basis for demand, we must establish our priorities clearly and make every effort to maximize return on dollars spent without raising the tax burden on hardworking American families.

Members of Congress should not abuse the appropriations process by using earmarks to pay for unauthorized, excessive and unnecessary projects. As such, I am only evaluating appropriation requests from city, county or state government entities from Georgia’s 9 th District. I believe there must be transparency in government. Any requests I make will be posted on this website with complete background information and letters of support from the government entities.
