I am new to the list and have enjoyed reading the postings so far. I wonder if I could have some advice from some seasoned teachers. I have been asked by a former student to be his private tutor. I have never taught privately before and am not sure how much to charge. We will be working one-on-one, 6 hours per week, for 10 weeks. I will not need to pay for space but will likely need to buy some materials (obviously for just one student I won't be buying much). Can anyone suggest a good starting price? Thanks!
