Keven & all,

please help me to see the error of my ways (so to speak): quote me. where do i 'paint all immigrants' any way at all? i bend over backwards to avoid generalizing and when i do generalize i qualify it ad nauseum--even if it's only to avoid this type of unwarranted criticism.

Show me, and everyone else, where i narrow-mindedly 'dismissed the struggle of every immigrant, casting them as social parasites'. Show me, and everybody else, where i was proud; this typecasting and generalizing speaks poorly of the professionalism that
undergirds-- or should undergird-- dialog on the nifl-esl listserv.

I dont want/ need an apology from u, but one may be in order. Likewise, i'll apologize if u'll toss me the bone of a quote that supports your accusations.

Cordially,

Joe
