Regarding pronunciation guides - Truespel provides for the first time a
simple “pronunciation guide spelling” that is keyboard friendly – no special
symbols. Your students can type and write phonetically in regular letters.
Focusing on USA accent only, truespel is also more accurate than present
pronunciation guides. A free web based converter is available to convert
500 word English paragraphs at a time to truespel, so anyone can generate
correct truespel by using the converter. Any lesson in the form of a text
file can be converted. The converter is located at
http://www.foreignword.com/dictionary/truespel/transpel.htm. The phonetic
key is on that page.

Truespel is the world’s only pronunciation guide spelling and as such it
also shows stress in words (default first syllable or after a double
consonant). It for the first time combines 1) dictionary guide phonetics
with 2) synthetic phonetics for initial teaching, and 3) a translation guide
phonetic spelling standard. By enabling easy spelling of phonemes it
enables phonetic awareness assessment. A truespel tutorial/test CD is
available which uses language neutral nonsense words to assess how well the
student can sort phonemes. A book is forthcoming "Analysis of the Sounds
(Phonemes) of USA English Using Truespel" (presently in print).
