Looking at my schedule the next couple of weeks, I was thinking that it might help if I worked on Columbus Day..that is.. if I could exchange it for another day sometime later when things are calmer. what do you think? and... I'm still interested in the Rutgers Adult Education conference. Even though it appears somewhat academic, there are some pertinent sessions, i.e., Quality Instruction, The Practice of Volunteer Tutors in Diverse Program Contexts, Lerner Persistence, Literacy in the Era of New Basics, Teaching Writing in ABE, Workplace Literacy, and ESL, etc. I was wondering if it would still be possible to go or not. There are flights for $215, the registration fee is $175 and the hotel is $110/night. Let me know what you think.
