Wendy Metzger and I were speaking with someone from HCFA at the Pfizer
meeting who said Jeanne McGee's revised manual is to be completed and out
next year, hopefully in the Spring, and that the current one is not
officially available any longer. JM faxed me a copy of the original to use
in preparing for the CHCS Fact Sheets but that would be difficult for larger
distribution. The updated version should be worth waiting for.

FYI, also from the Pfizer conference--the IOM report on health literacy is
to be out in January and a paper on an evidence-based lit review done at UNC
to be published soon after.

I had heard that she was working on another edition. Does anyone know the
status?

I failed to mention that the very useful HCFA guide was written by Jeanne
McGee.

>Guide for State Medicaid Agencies." Center for Medicaid and State
Operations.
