Job Opportunity Description

Education Development Center

Objective:
Seeking experienced curriculum developer/instructional designer for
resource-poor nations to work with team in creating Health and Family Life
Curriculum for English-speaking Caribbean countries (upper primary and lower
secondary grade levels). The person should be ideally available to work with
EDC office in Boston or Washington D.C.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

Priorities:
•     Curriculum development
•     Teacher training (optional)

Other Duties:
•     Synthesize and write all background research and material
for teachers’ guides.

REQUIREMENTS/EDUCATION:
•     Experience in Health Education curriculum development,
behavior change and communications strategies.
•     Excellent writing skills.
•     Masters degree preferred.
•     Prior experience working in/with English speaking Caribbean
countries.
•     Experience managing production process: from draft
manuscript to copy-editing, design and reproduction.
•     Proficient computer/software skills, including command of
MS Word.
•     Excellent organizational skills, ability to work
independently, but as part of an interdependent team.
