Presentation Abstract: Presenters will examine the latest innovations and new trends in the effective use of technology in teaching and learning adult basic education and literacy. The discussion will also focus on strengths and weaknesses of different models, types of tools used when integrating technology in different educational settings for h different type of learners (LD, ESL/ELL learners and learners with special needs, etc.) and examples of best practices in distance leaning. For part two, presenters will demonstrate the effective use of LINCS as an interactive multimedia resource in teaching and professional development, in a hands-on setting. Objectives of the presentation: * Part one will provide a broad perspective on using technology innovations, sharing what is available and useful, and how educators can take advantage of current resources and be prepared for new technologies in the future. * Part two will equip the audience with skills and knowledge of using LINCS interactive resources, multimedia features and services in the classroom and when working with learners with special needs.
