Recovery Act Clean Diesel Programs

The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (Recovery Act) provided $300 million in new funding for the national and state programs to support the implementation of verified and certified diesel emission reduction technologies. EPA has already awarded $86.5 million to State programs, and those funds are currently at work creating green jobs and reducing air pollution.

All Requests for Applications associated with this funding are now closed, and EPA is now evaluating the applications. Watch this web site for announcements regarding awards.

EPA will issue additional requests for applications later in the year with its FY 2009 National Diesel Emissions Reduction Program appropriations approximating $60 million.

Comprehensive information about the EPA's overall clean diesel program is available at:

The National Clean Diesel Campaign portion of the Recovery Act funding is divided into four programs.
