Now Available In March 2007 the Marine Mammal Commission and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service convened an international workshop in Valencia, Spain, to develop long-term, pan-Arctic monitoring strategies for Arctic marine mammals. The report of that workshop is now available for download. "Addressing the Effects of Human-Generated Sound on Marine Life: An Integrated Research Plan for U.S. Federal Agencies" is now available for download from the Web site of the Joint Subcommittee on Ocean Science and Technology. The report was prepared by the subcommittee's Interagency Task Force on Anthropogenic Sound and the Marine Environment. Hard copies of the 66-page report will be available in the future. "Review of Co-management Efforts in Alaska," a report resulting from the Commission’s 6–8 February 2008 workshop in Anchorage, AK, is now available for download (pdf, 645kb).
