Andrea Grimaldi

Andrea Grimaldi has joined the Institute as Senior Project Officer in Early Childhood Literacy. Ms. Grimaldi has more than 18 years of experience working within the early childhood education field as a teacher, program manager and trainer.

Prior to joining the Institute, she served as the Training Manager for professional development within Public Broadcasting Service's (PBS) Ready To Learn initiative. The initiative, a five-year cooperative agreement between the U.S. Dept. of Education and PBS, was designed to prepare young children for success in school through educational television, web-based media and training for parents and teachers.

She also worked at Zero To Three in the Center for Program Excellence, providing training and technical assistance to care providers working with infants, toddlers and their families. She has taught in many early childhood education settings in the Washington, D.C., area, New Jersey and London, England.

Ms. Grimaldi earned her Master of Science Degree from Bank Street College of Education in New York, with a specialization in early childhood leadership, and a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Marymount University in Arlington, VA.
