Statement of the Treasury on the Decision of the Air Transportation Stabilization Board

Today, the Air Transportation Stabilization Board met to consider the application of United Airlines for a federal loan guarantee.  Treasury could not support the application as presented.  Should United submit an improved application in the coming days, Treasury is open to reconsidering it.
