Description | The Department of Health and Human Services Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration will unveil the results of the 2007 National Survey on Drug Use and Health at a press conference on Thursday, September 4. The annual survey, formerly called the Household Survey is the largest of its kind, and is the governments primary vehicle for determining how many persons are abusing illegal drugs, pharmaceuticals, alcohol and tobacco.
The release of the 2007 survey results is the keynote of the annual National Alcohol & Drug Addiction Recovery Month press conference marking a month long observance of the gains made by those in recovery from alcohol and drug abuse, as well as treatment providers.

Description | The first night will be the Rock n Recovery Block Party which will be held in conjunction with First Thursday, a local event that brings a lot of people downtown. We are excited about the prospect of expanding our audience beyond those faithful folks in recovery. This event will have live music, many, many childrens activities, information booths, vendors and food. On Thursday we will have an artists reception and public viewing of the recycled art. On Friday we will have the art show and silent auction and awards ceremony. Please join us in the celebration!
