Evaluation Activities

In line with the MAR’s vision to develop coordinated and sustained programs for library improvement and outreach, MAR conducts an ongoing assessment of network members’ needs in addition to evaluation of the MAR programs.

This web page presents specific evaluation activities conducted by NN/LM MAR along with helpful websites and useful tools related to evaluation.

In April 2007, MAR completed a needs assessment of network members. The results of the needs assessment questionnaire are available here along with a brief report of the needs assessment.

The data from the needs assessment, along with input from the Regional Advisory Committee, informed the Strategic Program Plan for Member Participation.

MAR conducted a baseline assessment of all Full Network Members on emergency preparedness. Conducted in April 2008 this assessment inquired about each library’s emergency preparedness and response plans and their need for training in emergency planning.

In preparation for the National Library of Medicine, NN/LM Mid-contract Site Visit on December 9, 2008, MAR conducted a needs assessment to obtain feedback from network members on NN/LM MAR’s program and services. As part of the site visit a group of network members were invited to be part of an open discussion to further provide feedback.  The final report of the site visit team is now available
