Imagine your mother dressing up like Marge Simpson with huge blue hair to attend a public meeting to stop a nuclear waste dump in the community. Or holding your labor union’s awards ceremony on the steps of the county jail – where your keynote speaker was suddenly being held.

Achieving the Impossible is about ordinary people that create extraordinary change in their communities. By any standard, these people are heroes, in the fullest sense of the word.

Looking for an opportunity to tell friends, family and colleagues about the important work that you and CHEJ are doing to prevent health harms caused by environmental threats? Get your contacts out of their homes and energized for spring with an Achieving the Impossible Celebration! It can be a cocktail party at your home, a morning breakfast at your office, or a reading at your local library, coffeehouse or bookstore.

If you host a party as a benefit for your group or for CHEJ, suggest a minimum donation per guest to attend (like $25), which will cover the cost of the book (discounted to $10, as a special courtesy to you!) and shipping, and allow you to collect a donation to use for your community group (if applicable), to split with CHEJ, or to give entirely to CHEJ.
