The SCORE association is dedicated to entrepreneur education and the formation, growth and success of small business nationwide. SCORE is a resource partner with the U.S. Small Business Administration. SCORE provides free business counseling and low cost group workshops to the small business community.

Local SCORE chapters provide free counseling and low cost workshops tailored to their communities. Both working and retired executives and business owners donate their time and expertise as business counselors.

The Buffalo - Niagara SCORE chapter roster includes businessmen and women who have been or are now successful entrepreneurs, small business owners, senior corporate executives and experienced professionals. They are ready to put that experience and expertise to work for you as they have for business owners and would-be owners in service operations, manufacturing, retailing, consulting, food service, communications and more.

SCORE counselors have been there. They understand what you are up against in running a business on a day-to-day basis or in planning a new business with all the questions that have to be answered. They offer you practical, hands-on help geared to your situation and your needs.

SCORE Buffalo - Niagara offers free business counseling at many satellite locations for your convenience. SCORE counseling is also offered at your place of business.

SCORE can help you successfully start a business, guide you in securing financing for your business and assist you in developing an effective business plan - the first step in securing your business loan. SCORE volunteers provide face to face counseling on small business needs, tailored to your particular situation or industry, with skilled business professionals. Counseling can also be provided via email with the same level of assistance.

Small business assistance workshops are given on a frequent basis to provide guidance to anyone planning to start their own business or anyone planning on buying a business. Local experts (from areas such as banking, legal, insurance, taxes and finance) in conjunction with SCORE members and SBA employees conduct these workshops.

Locations of the workshops are varied for the convenience of attendees. An affordable low fee is charged for workshops.
