2009 AAPI Summit: On Wednesday, June 3, the Democratic Leadership and the Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus (CAPAC) will be hosting the 2009 Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Summit. The theme for this year’s summit is “Restoring Our Economy: Recovery and Reinvestment in the Asian American and Pacific Islander Community.” Panels will focus on healthcare, housing and economic recovery, immigration, and education.
Roundtable: “Stimulating Change”: On Thursday, June 4, the National Council of Asian American Business Associations, in collaboration with the White House Office of Public Liaison, the Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus (CAPAC), the Asian American Justice Center, and the Greenlining Institute, will be hosting “Stimulating Change,” a roundtable to explore how stakeholders can work with the Administration and congressional leaders to improve and expand women, minority and disadvantaged business procurement and supplier diversity programs, with a focus on the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community.
