Environmental Health Perspectives Partners with Salud Pública de México
Environmental health information to be accessible to Spanish-speaking countries

(RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC) The peer-reviewed monthly journal Environmental Health Perspectives (EHP) announced today that it has established a new partnership with Salud Pública de México, a bi-monthly interdisciplinary journal published by the Instituto Nacional de Salud Pública (INSP) since 1959.

A principal feature of the partnership will be the inclusion within Salud Pública de México of EHP articles translated into Spanish. Beginning with volume 51, issue 2, Salud Pública de México will devote 10-12 pages to Spanish-language translations of EHP environmental health news articles, which will help Latin American readers stay up-to-date on advances in the environmental health sciences.

"It is our desire that the collaboration between EHP and Salud Pública de México strengthens the scientific communication in Spanish on key environmental health issues, and that it will be the first of future efforts to promote public health," said Carlos Oropeza Abúndez, executive editor of Salud Pública de México.

EHP editor-in-chief Hugh A. Tilson, PhD, said, "We are happy to share EHP with our Spanish-speaking neighbors, to increase the reach of these important environmental health studies, and to increase overall awareness of environmental issues worldwide."
