WINNERS OF THE 2009 DIA CHILI COOK-OFF!!!Surprised

FIRST PLACE WENT TO:  THE LEGACY GROUP

SECOND PLACE WENT TO:  THE LITTLE ELM GROUP

THIRD PLACE WENT TO: THE CLEAN AIR GROUP

HONORABLE MENTION WENT TO: THE WHISKEY AND MILK GROUP

Thanks to everyone who participated in the 2009 Chili Cook-Off.  We had 22 chili entries and 2 teams of judges to decide on the best.  There wasn't much chili left so it would appear they were all very good!  We had an incredible crowd of about 250 people before the night's end.  Despite the downpour and continual rain, hardy AA members continued to come.  We ended up a little crowded, humid and hot but nothing dampened the spirits of members for good food and a wonderful speaker.  Ilene W. did a great job and a night full of fun, fellowship and food ended for another year.  We have already discussed a new and much larger venue for 2010.  The Legacy Group won the chili bowl this year but there is always next time!

If you have some ideas for next year, besides more room and a better AC, let me know and we will see how we can improve. A special thanks to Jeff H. and all the volunteers who helped make this year a success.
