Brown Abstract A group of environmental justice organizations has squared off against supporters of carbon capture and storage (CCS) technology over recently introduced legislation in the California State Assembly that would set standards for CCS projects in the state. The disagreement raises larger questions about the state of knowledge around CCS: Are its safety and efficacy really still in doubt? And can the goals and values of various branches of the environmental movement be harmonized? The full version of this article is available for free in HTML or PDF formats. |
