2008 National Alcohol and Drug Addiction Recovery Month Press Conference and Kick-Off - SAMHSA-Sponsored
Description
The Department of Health and Human Services Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration will unveil the results of the 2007 National Survey on Drug Use and Health at a press conference on Thursday, September 4. The annual survey, formerly called the Household Survey is the largest of its kind, and is the governments primary vehicle for determining how many persons are abusing illegal drugs, pharmaceuticals, alcohol and tobacco.

The release of the 2007 survey results is the keynote of the annual National Alcohol & Drug Addiction Recovery Month press conference marking a month long observance of the gains made by those in recovery from alcohol and drug abuse, as well as treatment providers.

Our event starts with a Pep Rally and on-site broadcasting
from 93.1 with give aways for family, friends and participants. The ride begins promply at 11:00a.m. (2hr.run) The family,friends and the community members who are not riding our visiting the Zoo while the run is taking place. There is a large pavillion, pinic area , playground, and other memorable sites at our location as well as a D.J. for your listening pleasure. The programs begins upon the arrival or return of the riders with public officals and a speaker from the recovery and faith base community. Buffett lunch and entertainment to follow.

Description
The Northern Ohio Recovery Association is hosting a third annual Ohio Recovery Ride. Registration fee is $25.00 per adult, $15.00 per child. The registration fee includes: t-shirt, patch, meal, and admission to the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo. The first 100 riders will receive a free raffle ticket for a big drawing! Non-riders are welcome. Contributions provide recreation programs for youth, AIDS education, substance abuse prevention and intervention programs for adults and youth.
