Parenting in Recovery
Description
Addiction is a family disease and recovery is a family process. The impact of parental addiction on children is devastating. The deep-seated resentment, mis-treatment and neglect experienced by these children can be resolved as the parent undertakes the process of recovery. This seminar is designed to provide participants with a clearer understanding of the significant issues a parent in recovery typically experiences and the ensuing family struggles as the parent begins recovery. Strategies for maximizing strong, recovery-based parenting skills will be discussed. 12 Step, recovery-based parenting skills can be used by all parents, not just those in recovery from addiction.

Building Healthy Relationships
Description
When we are clear and focused within ourselves, boundaries automatically emerge and begin to move into place. In other words, boundaries are to some extent established subconsciously, as the result of mature self-love. Another dimension of boundaries requires our consciously-focused attention and effort. We will look at these two levels in terms of our commitment to ourselves and to our relationships.
