Special features: |
Cabin is a popular destination for Sitkans. Views down
and across Nakwasina Sound.
In the early 1960s, several forested areas in Nakwasina
Sound were harvested. During the summer, the vegetation
pattern in these areas appears more dense (overstory of
alder with understory of spruce and hemlock) and a brighter
green than the darker, less dense tops of the surrounding
hemlock-spruce forest.
Saltwater fishing and deer hunting are possible from
this cabin. Brown
bear frequent the area. |
