Referrals and Promotions of the California Smokers' Helpline
Few services are available in AAPI languages for people who want help to quit smoking. The California Smokers' Helpline is a FREE confidential service available over the telephone to anyone at least 14 years old who wants help to quit smoking or chewing tobacco. The Helpline is available in Mandarin, Cantonese, Vietnamese & Korean as well as English and Spanish. The Helpline offers:

APITEN invited you to join our electonic mailing list, apitobacco

APITOBACCO is a listserv for network members and prospective members of the Asian and Pacific Islander Tobacco Education Network (APITEN).  This list has, at least, two  functions.  First, APITEN will use the list to share news about tobacco research, policy initiatives, community events, funding opportunities, and media events in Asian American and Pacific Islander communities.  Second, the list will help APITEN members learn from each other by providing a venue for sharing information, experiences, stories, strategies, and opinions about their work in tobacco control.  If you would like to join the listserv please e-mail your request to rbautista@apiahf.org or submit your email in the topica listserv box below.
