Ecological Monitoring and Compliance (EMAC) Program
Ecological Monitoring and Compliance (EMAC) Program reports contain data and summary information
on actions taken on the Nevada Test Site (NTS) to protect and monitor the threatened desert tortoise,
federal- and state-protected birds, wetlands, state-protected reptiles and mammals, and the numerous
important plants, animals, and biotic communities of the site. The NTS management and operating
contractor for the U. S. Department of Energy, National Nuclear Security Administration Nevada Site
Office performs the monitoring and data reporting. The reports are annual dating from 1997 to the
present.
