The Repository

The National Clonal Germplasm Repository at Corvallis, Oregon, is a genebank that preserves invaluable plant genetic resources of temperate fruit, nut, and agronomic crops.

Plant Collections


The Corvallis Repository maintains collections representing global diversity of hazelnuts, strawberries, hops, mint, pears, currants, gooseberries, raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, and cranberries. Cultivars (clones) are stored as growing plants, while wild species populations are generally preserved as seed.
