The Facilities and Infrastructure Division:

The Facilities and Infrastructure (F&I) Division serves as the focal point for SC F&I policy, planning, and performance. SC operates 10 national laboratories plus other facilities in Oak Ridge, Tennessee and South Bend, Indiana that together, have over 1,800 operational buildings and real property trailers, with 20 million gross square feet of space.

The Division provides technical and subject matter expertise on F&I management including mission readiness assessment process, Ten Year Site Planning, Transformational Energy Action Management (TEAM)/sustainability, sustainment (modeling, maintenance & deferred maintenance), recapitalization/modernization, excess facilities, facilities information and, real estate actions.

The Division serves as the Management System Owner of the SC F&I Management System within the Office of Science Management System (SCMS) and is responsible for the Science Laboratories Infrastructure (SLI) program including non-Modernization Initiative line item projects, SC Excess facility disposition program, Oak Ridge Landlord Program and Payment-in-lieu-of taxes (PILT) for Argonne National Laboratory and Brookhaven National Laboratory.
