Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System
The Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS) aims to help formulate public health policies, plans and programs that prevent chronic diseases and injuries associated with unhealthy behaviors.

Hawaii Health Surveys
The Hawai`i Health Survey (HHS) is an annual survey modeled after the National Health Interview Survey. The survey began in 1968 and provides information on health and demographic characteristics of the people of Hawai`i (e.g. on age, gender, education, marital status, employment, insurance, income, ethnicity, and physical and mental health).

Vital Statistics
Information about major events that take place in people's lives, including births, deaths, marriages and divorces. These can be used as indicators of the health status of the general population.

Communicable Disease Report
The Communicable Disease Report (CDR) is produced bi-monthly by the Department of Health's Epidemiology Branch. The report includes articles about a wide variety of topics related to communicable diseases and provides statistical information about disease activity in the state.

This 56 page booklet describes the burden of cancer in Hawaii. It was produce in partnership with the American Cancer Society and the Cancer Research Center of Hawai`i.

Health Trends in Hawai‘i: A Profile of the Health Care System
This volume is published by Hawai‘i Health Information Corporation and covers the entire spectrum of subjects relating to health care demographics, health status, the health marketplace, health resource availability and health resource utilization and also shows trends over time.

HIV/AIDS Surveillance Quarterly Report
The Department of Health maintains an active disease surveillance program that collects, and disseminates epidemiological data regarding HIV/AIDS in Hawaii. This information is published in the "HIV/AIDS Surveillance Quarterly Report."
