ALLEY SPRING (MO)DescriptionOpen all year round. Modern restrooms are open Apr 15-Oct 30. Water is shut off and many restrooms are closed after Oct 30 to prevent frozen pipes Campers will be directed to an open restroom or vault toilet which may be a short distance from their campsite. Canoeing, tubing, swimming, and fishing are popular activities. The town of Eminence is five miles east and offers restaurants, outdoor supplies, horseback riding, and canoe rental ncessionaires. Historic and picturesque Alley Mill and the scenic Alley Spring are nearby. A short walk from the campground leads to a popular swimming area on the Jacks Fork River. The river is crystal clear and spring fed, cool and refreshing on a hot summer day. The campground has flush toilets and free hot showers available. Ranger-led campfire programs are offered in the campground amphitheater during the summer months. Ranger-led interpretive activities are available at the historic Alley Mill.

When coming from the east on U.S. Highway 60, turn north on Missouri Highway 19 in the town of Winona. Continue north 12 miles to the town of Eminence. From Eminence, Alley Spring campground is located five minutes west of State Highway 106. When approaching from Mountain View, go 19 miles east from Mountain View on U.S. Highway 60 and turn north on County Highway E. Go north on E for 10 miles until you reach State Highway 106. Then, turn west on 106 for two miles.
