11th Annual HHS National Tribal Budget Formulation and Consultation Session - April 29-30, 2009
The Consultation Session provides Tribes with the opportunity to express their views and priorities to HHS officials on cross-cutting issues important to Indian Country. Our partnership with Tribes is the foundation of the consultation. HHS is committed to working with Tribes on a government-to-government basis through consultation.
New to this year’s format is a Tribal Resource Session which will take place on Tuesday April 28, 2009. The Tribal Resource Session is designed to give Tribes an overview of HHS, the programs, grants and services that we provide to Tribal Governments. During our 2008 Regional Tribal Consultation Sessions, we held the first ever "Tribal Resource Day," which was overall a positive addition. Therefore, we felt it would be beneficial to host a similar Resource Day at the National HHS Budget Consultation as well.
