Rendezvous Update: Service Continuity recording & PubMed update rescheduled

Wednesday, February 25th, 2009

On February 18th, Dan Wilson (Coordinator of the NN/LM Emergency Preparedness Plan) gave an RML Rendezvous update about service continuity planning. You can listen to a recording of this Rendezvous at https://webmeeting.nih.gov/p85862149 About 11 minutes and 10 seconds into the recording (you can skip to sections of the recording by dragging the vertical line in the timeline box at the bottom left of the screen) Dan introduced new scenario filters as a way to discuss library core values and services.

My proposal was to partner with the Oregon Child Development Coalition, an agency that provides Head Start and child care to 3500 primarily Hispanic children in mostly rural areas of Oregon.

National Medical Librarians Month

Wednesday, October 1st, 2008

October is National Medical Librarians Month! During the month, please visit NLM’s Web pages highlighting medical library projects across the NN/LM regions.

Congratulations to 2 PNR librarians featured for their 2008 library projects: George McAlister at Spokane County Medical Society Library, and Hope Leman at the Murray Memorial Library, Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Corvallis, Oregon.

These projects are 2 wonderful examples of the good work being done by libraries in the PNR!

Remember, too– in celebration of National Medical Librarians Month, the RML would like to send a
congratulatory letter to hospital administrators informing them of the invaluable services medical librarians provide.
