HIV/AIDS and American Indians/Alaska Natives

  • American Indians/Alaska Natives have a 40% higher rate of AIDS as compared to the white population.
  • American Indian/Alaska Native men have a 20% higher AIDS rate as compared to white men.
  • American Indian/Alaska Native women have almost three times the AIDS rate as white women.
