The goal of our outreach program is to expand partnerships and implement activities with network members and other institutions and organizations to improve awareness of and access to health information resources for health professionals and members of the public
Training and Professional Development
Another way we increase the effective use of electronic health information resources is to provide training and professional development opportunities to those who directly provide health information to the public. These providers include Network and other librarians, health professionals (including public health professionals), educators, health advocates, and those working with various community-based organizations.
Collaboration
We work collaboratively with various regional partners to enhance public access to health information and to improve the regional health information infrastructure. We provide resources to facilitate collaboration in the region, including funding for consumer health information projects through subcontracts and cooperative agreements.
