The investigative efforts of USPS OIG Special Agents assist the Postal Service in protecting the mail and help in maintaining the integrity of postal personnel. The USPS OIG's audits and reviews are designed to protect assets and revenue, ensure efficient and economical mail delivery, and safeguard the integrity of the postal system. Supports the USPS Office of Inspector General mission by providing timely, accurate, and high quality service to the USPS OIG and its' customers in the areas of human resources, administrative services, and budget & financial operations.
Provides legal advice to the Inspector General and USPS OIG staff in all areas of Criminal, civil and administrative law, processes subpoenas, manages ethics and FOIA appeals programs, and reviews existing and proposed legislation, regulations, and policies affecting the economy and efficiency of the Postal Service.
The Chief Information Officer (CIO) is the Senior Executive responsible for all aspects of the USPS OIG's information technology and systems. The CIO in the OIG is responsible for all aspects of Information system solutions: applications, data and voice networks, telecommunications systems, security, and the computer architecture environment. In addition the CIO is responsible for the Computer Assisted Data Analysis function which is positioned to be an independent source providing timely, reliable expert data analyses, and sophisticated research techniques in support of USPS OIG investigations and audits.
