State of Downtown
Mark your calendars. On Tuesday, June 2, the Downtown BID will release the 2008 State of Downtown Report and hold a public forum with a panel discussion on Downtown's economic future. The event takes place at the Newseum (555 Pennsylvania Avenue) from 8:00 am to 10:00 am.

The Penn Quarter FreshFarm Farmers' Market returned to the north end of 8th Street, between D and E Streets, on Thursday, April 2. The outdoor market has delighted workers and residents since 2003 and will continue this season every Thursday from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm, through December 17.

P arking Meter Blitz
Look for the city’s new green, multi-space meters, which will begin popping up in Downtown this weekend, including near the Verizon Center and the theatre district.
The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) is putting the finishing touches on installing 101 multi-space meters in Downtown.
