NAS FACT
By boosting its computing capacity ten-fold through the Columbia supercomputer, the NASA Advanced Supercomputing (NAS) facility has proven to more effectively handle such critical projects as simulating space shuttle launches for future space missions, projecting the impact of human activity on weather patterns, and designing safe, efficient space exploration vehicles and aircraft.
