GETTING ACCOUNTS

This section details how to set up user accounts on the high performance computers at the NAS facility. You'll find all required forms online, plus contact information for getting help along the way.

Before general users can obtain accounts, the principal investigator must first request and get approval for a project.

Choose your appropriate category below to start the account request process.

Principal Investigators:
+ Principal Investigators

General Users:
+ U.S. Citizens
+ International Visitors

Note that your principal investigator will supply the title of the group for which you are requesting access, as well as the Group Identification Number (GID).

As part of the NAS security plan for the Columbia supercomputer, and at the direction of NASA's Chief Information Officer, we have implemented a two-factor authentication process. Once your account has been approved, we will ship a SecurID Authenticator Fob to you.

+ Detailed instructions on using your SecurID fob.

Please send questions to nop@nas.nasa.gov.
