Air Quality (DataRam) Sensor on a Portable RAWS!

September 24, 2002 - Chuck Maxwell and Rich Woolley of the Southwest Regional Weather Program have successfully mounted a DataRam to a portable RAWS Station. Thanks to help from Sue Stillings and Buddy Adams at the BLM, we have the data flowing through the GOES system, to ASCADS and out to WIMS, the BLM Web Server, the NWS Weather Page (although they aren't displaying it yet) and to the Western Regional Climate Center. Chuck has done a quick write-up on the process so far and his initial findings.

The station information (GOES ID, WIMS ID, etc.) is all included in his write-up. Chuck also included some graphs produced with the outputs that show a PM spike due to atmospheric mixing (lifting inversion) associated with increasing morning temperature.
