From the Press Office: Reichert Joins Speaker Pelosi for a Press Conference Today
to Announce Fellows for Wounded Warrior Program

Washington, D.C., Mar 9 -

Congressman Dave Reichert (WA-08) will join with Speaker Nancy Pelosi and other Members of Congress to hold a press conference on the House Wounded Warriors Program TODAY, Monday, March 9, 2009 at 2:30 p.m. The Wounded Warrior Program, an initiative begun by the Speaker during the 110th Congress, was established to create fellowships that provide employment opportunities for wounded or disabled veterans within the House of Representatives.

Reichert’s office is an active participant in the program, and was one of the first to employ a Wounded Warrior Fellow. Zack Guill, an Army veteran, works in Reichert’s district office. To date, 9 “wounded warriors” are currently working for Members of Congress as part of the fellowship program with a goal of having 25 fellows by the end of 2009.
