The Natchez Trace Parkway bookstore is operated by a cooperating association, Eastern National.  At the Parkway Visitor Center, Milepost 266, near Tupelo, Mississippi there is a store that is open 364 days a year. There are also seasonal stores located at the historic inn Mt. Locust, Milepost 15 in Mississippi, and Colbert Ferry, Milepost 327, in Alabama.

The Mississippi Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) played a vital role in the preservation of the Natchez Trace by placing markers in each Mississippi county the old trace passed through.
