PEPNet-Midwest

PEPNet-Midwest regional map PEPNet-Midwest was established at Saint Paul College — A Community & Technical College under a five year contract in October of 1996 by the US Department of Education, Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services. PEPNet-Midwest is now in its third five year grant cycle. The purpose of PEPNet-Midwest is to increase and improve secondary and postsecondary educational opportunities for individuals who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing in the following thirteen states:

Students on campus PEPNet-Midwest provides training, technical assistance and dissemination to secondary and postsecondary institutions to improve existing services or to establish new services for students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing. While PEPNet-Midwest focuses primarily on the Midwestern region of the United States through its Outreach Specialists and sites, a key component to this project is coordination and collaboration with three other regional centers serving individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing as well as individuals with other disabilities within the federal Technical Assistance and Dissemination network to affect change and improve services nationally.
