We welcome you to the Blackstone River Valley - on both sides of our state borders! When the U.S. Congress created the Blackstone River Valley National Heritage Corridor in 1986, Washington, D.C. was recognizing the uniqueness of a region linked by a single river that spans two state lines. Certainly, the Blackstone River draws no arbitrary distinction as it rolls 46 miles through this lush, lovely region from Worcester to Providence. Today, we celebrate a two-state bond and the single region where 24 communities share a New England heritage and vision for the future.
