Picnicking
 

Alcohol
Alcoholic beverages are permitted only in some areas of the park. Please review the park's alcohol policy.

Where to picnic
Popular free picnicking spots are Toms Creek and Hialeah Picnic Area PA and Namanock Access, Millbrook Village, and Kittatinny Point NJ. All have picnic tables. Millbrook Village has an indoor restroom when the village is open. Other sites have outdoor toilets or portable toilets. Kittatinny Point NJ and Hialeah Picnic Area PA both have a wheelchair-accessible picnic table.

Barbeques and campfires
Fires are permitted only at designated campgrounds and picnic areas. In picnic areas, visitors must bring and use their own grills; open fires an ground fires are not permitted. There are no built-in grills in park picnic areas.

Groups
There is a reservable group picnic area at Milford Beach PA. A fee is charged.

Did You Know?
... that Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area is home to hundreds of black bears. The bears are usually peaceful, but they are still large, wild animals that can maul a person. Don't approach or annoy bears! Don't let your dog chase a mother bear or her cubs! NEVER FEED A BEAR!
