January 20, 2006: Thornberry Tours Fire Damage Sites Print


Much of our area continues to recover from devastating wildfires.  One community that was hit especially hard was Ringgold in Montague County.  Congressman Thornberry went to Ringgold to survey the damage.

Thornberry reminds residents seeking federal assistance due to the fires that they must apply for it.  The toll-free number for the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) assistance hotline is 800-621-3362. The FEMA hotline for the hearing impaired is 800-462-7585. Requests for assistance can also be made through the FEMA website at www.FEMA.gov.
