Day of Prayer a Time for Reflection, Gratitude, Compassion

Congressman Tom Price (R-GA) issued the following in observance of the 58th National Day of Prayer.

“Today is a day for reflection, gratitude, and compassion,” said Congressman Price. “Since our nation’s founding, our leaders have called on us to join together for days of prayer and observance. Our National Day of Prayer is an important part of that tradition as we reflect upon our common bonds as both Americans and God’s children. During these difficult times, we should take the time to remember families at home and around the world that are struggling. And today, like every day, we should pray for the men and women in uniform who risk their lives to ensure our safety and security. But most of all, we should be thankful for all with which we have been blessed as a people and as a nation. On this National Day of Prayer, we thank all people who share a belief that something bigger than ourselves is what offers us the great opportunities we have as Americans.”
