Research Project: QUANTIFICATION OF IN VIVO ALPHA-TOCOPHEROL METABOLISM IN HUMANS

Objective:
To quantify absorption and relative utilization efficiency of different forms of alpha-tocopherol.

Approach:
In a clinical study, volunteers will consume labeled alpha-tocopherol, then provide blood, urine, and fecal samples for several weeks. Resulting kinetic curves will be analyzed by mathematical modeling.
