Welcome to Food Components and Health Laboratory!

 

 

Our Mission Statement

 

The Food Components and Health Laboratory (FCHL) conducts research on diet as related to human health. Scientists measure metabolic and physiologic responses to whole foods and dietary constituents including traditional nutrients, phytochemicals and functional foods. Clinical and invitro approaches identify diet-induced modulation of biomarkers of chronic diseases such as obesity, diabetes, cancer and cardiovascular disease.
