Hall Will Hold Special “Earth Day” Forum on Sat., Apr. 21 in Mt. Kisco
April 18, 2007
CARMEL, NY – Congressman John Hall will hold a special “Earth Day Community Congress” on Saturday, April 21 at the Mount Kisco Town Hall.

This forum, like the several others that Hall has held already around the 19th Congressional District, will give him an opportunity to hear directly from the residents of his district, this time focusing on issues regarding energy independence, environmental protection and ecological awareness.

“More and more people are concerned about the fate of our planet, and they’re also wondering what their government is doing to fight pollution and climate change,” said Hall. “This forum will give me a chance to update constituents on the recent efforts in Congress to protect the earth and our natural resources. Events like these are about information-sharing, though, and I always look forward to them.”

Hall was one of two new members of the House of Representatives named to the Select Committee on Energy Independence and Global Warming last month.

Future forums are scheduled for April 28 in Stony Point, May 5 in Carmel and May 12 in Fishkill. Information on forums as they are scheduled is available on Hall’s Congressional website at www.johnhall.house.gov.

The “Community Congress” forums are open to the public and all constituents are encouraged to attend.
